The Annual Vincy Unity Picnic held at Brown’s Bay Provincial Park in Eastern Ontario is a family friendly picnic hosted by the SVG Unity Picnic Committee on behalf of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Associations of Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto on the third Saturday in July each year.
Since 1999, the picnic has become an event, which is now placed on the summer calendars of patrons worldwide. This event attracts over 12,000 people, consisting of Vincentian nationals and their friends, from Canada – (Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and other Provinces); including a number of Buses and private vehicles from the USA.
Picnickers spend the day from 7am-6pm, enjoying our culture, through food, dress, music, performances and interaction with our Canadian and Vincentians Government Officials and dignitaries.
Objectivities:
- To promote our cultural awareness through food, dress, music, art in Canada.
- Celebrate our homeland cultural, social and aesthetic revitalization
- To encourage youth and senior involvement.
